I am a female. I think that being a female has its pros and cons but so does being a male. I actually love being a female. We may have to work harder for some things, especially careers, but woman now a days are more independent, successful and stronger than ever. It crazy to think about how much has changed over the years when it comes to being a female. I couldn’t image what it was like back when females weren’t considered equal to men and our only purpose was to cook, clean and take care of children. Woman still do those things but we are able to have a life outside of just being a house wife. I personally can’t wait to have a family, but I want to start my career first. My ethical views are more on the caring side. That doesn’t mean I don’t have any ethical views on justice because I do, I just think that I care more about personal relationships.
Who do you consider your best friend and why? Describe your relationship to him/her in terms of trust, equality, fairness, love, caring, empathy and responsibility. Discuss how easy or difficult is it to keep these qualities in your friendship? Can you have more than one best friend? Can you have many best friends? Why or why not?
Over the years, I have lost some friends and gained some friends. I think as you get older, you realize who the important people in your life are. I always say that it is quality over quantity. There are a few girls that I consider my best friends. First, would be my cousin Lindsay and my sister Alex. They are two people that will always be there for me no matter what for the rest of my life, because they are also family. My other best friend is Colleen, who lives in the same town as me. I didn’t become close to her until we both came to Worcester for school, and now she is like a sister to me. I also met Mackenzie and Amy, my other two best friends at school as well. I have been best friends with these girls since freshman year and have become so close to them. I trust them completely and can share everything with them. We have a lot in common, but are all pretty different at the same time. I have so much fun with all of my best friends and I don’t know what I would do without them.

I like what you had to say about how far women have come and our new found ability to have a life or identity out side of being a house wife. Also I completely agree that starting a career before having children is the way to go! Call me old fashion but I want to be married, have a career, and a house before I start my family!
I really enjoyed reading your post and looking at your pictures! I like that you included a picture of your sister and cousin because your family can definitely be some of the closest people to you! good job!
“Quality over quantity”- I love that. I totally agree and have always said that. I feel that when we are younger we have many superficial friendships to be part of the social scene, and then when the going gets tough, you begin to realize who really has your back. At the same time, I think God puts certain people in our lives for certain reasons, and maybe when we have experienced all that we can from that person- they aren’t a part of our lives anymore so that we may be able to make room for new people. I guess thats just a positive spin on how the world works. I always say its good to have you close few than be part of a big crowd that would drop you like a hot potato.
